Mark,
Something isn't exactly as you say. On my eTrex Legend, I see the Garmin
basemap (very crude) and I also see a more detailed road that isn't there if I
don't load your mapset. Therefore, I assume this road is from the mapset.
Also on MapSource, if I select the Southwest Trails, I see these same roads
as well as the trails. It's just that on the Legend, I see no trails at all.

Hi Bob,
The roads you see are actually the roads from the basemap, as Southwest Trails doesn't include any road data. I have included some road data for reference in the preview map that you see in MapSource, but that does not get copied over to your GPSr..only the trails. I have put together a small video on how to upload the maps : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=64KyeTzZvwo (sorry about the low sound level...I'll fix that). Let me know if this helps.
Thanks,
Mark

Mark,
I downloaded the file into MapSource and loaded it into my Garmin eTrex Legend.
I can see the roads (the fatter lines in MapSource) which overlay the Garmin roads
in the basemap. However, I can not see any of the trails (the thinner lines in
MapSource). I zoom all the way in where there should be trails, but nothing is
visible. Since some of the data is showing up, I know the mapset is loaded. Is there
something I need to turn on to see all the trails>
