I have a desktop cradle for my Magellan SportTrac Pro. No screwing
necessary, just pop it into the cradle and your connected to the PC! This
is my third Magellan unit and my preference in Brand name.

One other thing I don't like about the Magellan is how you have to screw
the power point or download line in the back of the unit instead of plug and
play. Garmin has gone to USB cable for faster downloads but maybe by now
Magellan has done the same.
