ooooh, we used to DREAM we had nice, sharp cactus needles to make holes in our fingers with!! all we had most of the time were rocks and sticks and leaves, and we had to kind of tear the flesh with our own -- oh, never mind, you don't want to know....

those were the days, though.

Thanks for that laugh, Team Evil Fish!!

Neat cache! Took Russian like coin with a five on it. Left ten cent Malaysain coin. Looks like the people before us left blood on the log. March 28, 2003 by Team Evil Fish (735 found)
        We were the people before....
The idea for today was for this to be the fourth cache of the trip but I erased the final coordinates for LoHi and well we walked the whole thing again we did this one in between the Low and High, to complicate matters further when we arrived at this cache back on our way to the High part, discoverd we had NO writting impliments, there was a debate, as no sign no find, then another on who would leave the blood, Rock Paper Scissors. I used a handy cactus needle to spell the T, my finger tip for the E and well was loosing consciousness from lack of blood so couldn't finish the F but you could say it looks like a picture of a fish...

Left a Moola Money Lottery ticket took nothing
and if you still doubt that Team Evil Fish was there TEST the DNA :) O- CMV ++

I once poked a series of holes in a log with a sharp pebble as a kind of signature when I left the pen back at the truck.

you kids are so spoiled.... back in my day, we didn't have writing implements! we had to use sticks and rocks and sharp pieces of glass and our own blood to sign cache logs! :-)

On one memorable occasion, I signed a log with a wet stick and dirt because I forgot my writing implement. Didn't happen again. :)

Oh, one final thought. As already stated by others here, not having a working pen/pencil is no reason for not signing the log. Every cacher worth his salt should carry his own pen/pencil, if nothing else.
