Yes, the US Forest Service can 'close' a forest. Shut and lock the gates,
fine trespassers. Only campgrounds will remain open. Check out the USFS
website for more info. Last year they closed the forests, and the biggest
wildfire in Arizona was started by 1)A loser firefighter from the White
Mountain Apache Reservation, and 2)A loser 'hiker' who started a signal
fire. (Yes, I know she wasn't technically a hiker, that's what the RAG
called her, but what was she doing up there?)

I'm so confused...............how can they "CLOSE" a National Forest??? Is
that legal??? I can understand fire restrictions, but closers seem to be a
slap in the face for those of us that are more than careful when out in the
wilderness!
