Steve, you have been the contact for Maricopa Parks. Is there a way to let
them know about what happened and ask them for a clarification? Not that we
need one, but it would let them know that there is a some harassment going
on regarding the rangers attitude towards cachers.
My reluctance to do so is based on a couple of things. First, I wasn't at
either incident. Second, the individual contact I had, to whom I might have
spoken off the record, is no longer in that position, and the person who has
taken his place is brand new. I really think it would be up to the
Geocachers involved to decide whether to lodge a complaint.
I do know this, though: When I go out to McDowell Mountain Regional Park to
see if I can find Grandma Sarah's Cache, I'll have with me a printed copy of
the permission email I got from the Park Superintendent, as well as a copy
of the Park Commission's web page on Geocaching!

Till a voice, as bad as Conscience, rang interminable changes
On one everlasting Whisper day and night repeated -- so:
"Something hidden. Go and find it. Go and look behind the Ranges --
"Something lost behind the Ranges. Lost and waiting for you. Go!"
