While I may or may not agree with the forest closures, the fact remains
that the forest is closed, and the fine for being caught out there is VERY
steep. I think that keeping the status of the cache updated is just a
normal part of cache maintenance. If the area is closed, then the cache
should be disabled and it should be the responsibility of the cache
hider/owner to keep current on that.

With the exception of virtual caches, I think it is a pretty decent idea to
not place a cache while on vacation. I am not sure that it should be a
rule, as I don't think that there should be rules with geocaching, but it
is a good guideline.
