I just read through the thread again and don't really see that he is trying
to quash the other people's attempts to come up with something else. To me
it looks like it has only been an issue with one set of coins so far, and
the problem was that the guy claims that he tried to get permission, but
didn't. After that he started selling the coins instead of just putting
them in caches. It seems to me that he wouldn't have had a problem if he
would have just not sold the coins.
