Not true... 100 years ago or so, heavy rain caused the Colorado to
overflow. I think it did breach some flood control dikes, but there were no
dams on the Colorado at that time. It was NOT a man made effect.

Yeah, they damed the Colorado, backed it up to a fault and the river leaked
into the Salton Sea. Big time man made screw up.
