[Az-Geocaching] Finding ID number

I see my extreme knowledge of geocoins is being called upon here....
I shall decend from my throne of stacks of coins to dispence
knowledge....

Once a coin is activated, it can't be de-activated. (unless you get a
special dispensation from the powers on high at Groundspeak.) The
ownership after activation can easily be transferred by use of the
adoption link for caches and travel bugs. This site can easily be
found at GC.com or on my reference page.

Most coin collectors prefer non activated coins so that there is no
dispute over the actual ownership of said coin. However, since the
person activating the coin can use the adoption function.. once the
ownership is transferred, the coin owner is no longer in dispute.

Adoptions have to be initiated by the activator or currently activation owner.

I have activated a pair of coins and placed them in the event cache.
These are my personal coins, and I will make them available to anyone
wanting to record their numbers at the event. This is so that you can
have an icon and you don't necessarily have to activate your own. But
these coins will be in your found, and NOT owned column of trackables.

P.S.

be careful on your coin numbers. there is a 6 character sequence
starting with AZ that is the tracking number... the following digits
are the coin's sequence number.
