If you are using PocketQueries(PQ) make sure you are checking the box
that says to download them as .GPX files which are the ones with all the
data rather than .LOC file which are the default download method.

From clicking help on pocket queries you get this info:
*Downloading GPX/LOC Files*

If you're a GPS user and get tired of hand-entering coordinates into
your GPS receiver, downloading coordinates is an enjoyable alternative.
The Geocaching.com site has several features available to allow you to
download geocaches and other waypoints for use with these various
applications.

With the exception of some lower-end GPS units, you can usually purchase
an interface cable and download coordinates directly to your GPS unit.
Even if you don't download to your GPS unit you can use GPX files to
help manage the geocaches you have found or plan to look for in the future.

*Step 1: Groundspeak License Agreement
<http://www.geocaching.com/waypoints/agreement.aspx?ID=-1>*
You have already read and accepted the license agreement.

*Step 2: Download an application* that supports either *.LOC, *.GPX, or
both file formats

    * LOC - The original download format for the search results page on
      Geocaching.com
    * GPX (GPS eXchange Format) - Currently available for Pocket
Queries, which is a Premium Member
<http://www.geocaching.com/subscribe/> feature on the web site.
The GPX file format has specific geocaching information that can
      be used by supporting applications.
    * eBook - As a Premium Member <http://www.geocaching.com/subscribe/>
you can also choose to have a list of waypoints compiled into
MobiPocket <http://www.mobipocket.com> eBook format. This format
contains all the information from the cache details page.

In GSAK (The slickest geocaching tool ever invented) go to TOOLS,
OPTIONS on the upper right corner of the GENERAL screen is the radio
button to select distance to be shown in either Kilometers or Miles.
