[Az-Geocaching] Re: Power Trail not approved!

I remember that cache all too well. I spent probably 4 hours on it one day,
most of that spent waiting. I got to stage 11, and had to wait because
there was a large party going on in a nearby ramada (think Halloween
Radioactive), and the 3 teenage girls probably would have caused me to have
significant injuries had the very big relatives nearby thought I was doing
something...weird trying to retrieve that stage. I grabbed a book and sat
in another ramada nearby for a good 1.5-2 hours reading, hoping they would
leave. I came back 3 hours later and they were finally gone. 5 minutes
later I was at Step 12, in absolute darkness. :)

Dave,

I agree with you that the 12 Step Program is a great multi-cache. Scott's
comments about multi-caches in general was something I thought was humorous
considering he placed the 12 Step Program. The context about multi-caches
vs. individual caches is exactly what the Power Trail discussion is about.

DAVID THOMPSEN WROTE:

It's funny that that cache comes up in the power trail context... I think
that the 12 Step program is hands down the best multi cache of the 70-some
that I've done. People will do multi's if they're quality.

I'm sitting here shaking my head and thinking about what Scott Sparks just
wrote about multi-caches...and at the same time remembering "SPROCKET'S 12
STEP PROGRAM" (GCD812). (hehehehe) ;-) :-D

SCOTT SPARKS WROTE:

Concerning the multi-cache versus multiple individual caches issue, I
would, by far, prefer to see multiple individual caches, each with
their own logbook. As anyone who has maintained or hunted for a
multi-cache knows, it only takes one missing step of a multi-cache to
make the whole multi-cache worthless and un-findable.
