Subject: [Az-Geocaching] geocaching.com users web page

On many of my older find logs.... dating prior to about June 2003.... if I
remember, there use to be a field that you could put a link to your personal
web site in your log. It shows up in your log as 'users web page'. That old
web page link of mine is no longer active and it hasnt been active in over 2
years. I have a new web site addy now. Anyways, I just happened to be
looking at one of my old logs and I clicked on my users web page and to my
suprise, it now links to a porn site! Is there a way to remove these links
from all my logs without editing all of them? I can tell yall right now, I
am not going back thru the probably 500 or more logs just to remove the
link!!! Does anyone know of a system or way that I can remove all those
links? I tried one of the logs and I 'edited' the log... and the link did
not remove. However, when I deleted the log and re listed it.. the link was
gone. Now, a very large amount of those old caches are now archived (any
suprise?) and it is possible I might not be able to go back into those
archived caches anyways to relist my logs (not edit, but delete and repost
them). But, quite frankly... I am not going to do this to every single cache
log dating from Jan 2002 thru June of 2003. There are probably 500 or 800 or
  something finds between then!!!

Again, this is the 'users web page' that appears on top of my logs.. not a
link that was inserted somewhere in my logs. This 'users web page' was
actually a field that you could put a web link into when logging your
find... if I recall. Alot of these caches are archived anyways, so those
probably dont matter much. There are many that are active, although I dont
think anyone is going to be reading my logs or any logs from that far down
the list on a cache page anyways. Further yet, how many of the few that do
are actually going to click on the web link anyways. But I would like to
remove the links if there is any easy way of doing so. The web site isnt
active anymore anyways.... and well, now it is a porn site (and not mine!)
  :)

I dont want to take this issue to GC.com as I dont want them to remove all
my logs... I sure as heck aint typing them all in again!!! Perhaps they are
reading this listserv anyways... I dont know. Any thoughts or comments on
  that?

Otherwise, does anyone know how I might remove all those links without
  re-posting all my logs?

  Thanks!
