I was wondering if the fee would go up for Mt. Lemmon to counter the drop in
visitors and the increased management costs from the fire.

As many of you know, I have been very critical of the Forest Service and
their fee demonstration program. Remember the Highway Robbery posters?

Anyway, there is a group of people out in California that I have been
following for sometime now and they have a great website at
www.freeourforests.org but more importantly they are now reporting on a
recent GAO (Government Accounting Office) report of the program. It looks
like the FS spend $15 million to collect $15 million. You can find links
to the reports and the highlights here.
