What I want to see Garmin offer is simply a data cable and palm program that
would allow me to hook my existing Garmin GPS unit (Etrex Legend) to my Palm
(M130). Then, have a Mapsource type program that will run on my Palm.

The only way to use a GPS with a Palm (that I have seen) is to buy the combo
GPS/Palm deals. I don't like them. None of them seem to impress me. The
mapping program dont look that great. The GPS's don't appear to be the best
either. There is one that hooks up to a Magellan GPS, but you have to use a
special GPS unit designed for the PDA. (I dont think it is Palm either). I
personally prefer Garmin. But, anyways.. I dont like that combo PDA/GPS
setup.

Does anyone know if it is possible to take my Garmin Mapsource program and
convert it to a Palm file extension (.prc? or something like that) and so I
could use Mapsource on my Garmin? Then, is there a data cable available to
hook up my Garmin Legend to my Palm M130? I doubt there is a way... but,
figure I would ask.

I cant see why they are making these GPS's that specifically connect to
Palms and not just making a palm mapping program and using a data cable to
run from your existing GPS to your PDA?
