The magnetic strips don't work all to well. At least the ones that I've used
have had problems sticking to the surface, once a log book, a pencil or two
and a couple of prizes have been put in, and that was with mounting the
magnets on the outside of the tin.  The best, is the ceramic magnetic discs.
They are strong and very versatile.
