"This brings up an interesting point, one I didn't consider until now. Do cache owners routinely compare cache logs in the container to the ones posted to verify that people aren't "cheating?" Not to reopen the "maintenance" can of worms again, but has anybody seen any kind of widespread cheating (or does anybody care)?"

Actually, I've pulled the 'logsheets' on both of my micros (Honeybee & Cachette) once already, since they will hold a maximum of about 25 entries. I just watch the number of 'logged' visits on the cache info page to tell me when to do so. Otherwise, I'll just do my typical 'check from afar' routine to confirm that they're where they need to be, anywhere from once to several times a week if I pass by during my daily travels...

Having the old logsheet in hand was intersting, as I get to see the personal signature of teams that have visited, as opposed to just reading their logs on the website. I noticed that every team that had posted a log had indeed physically visited the cache, and in fact there were a few teams that signed the physical logsheet that *didn't* report their visit at Geocaching.com, which seems to concur with what other cache owners have noticed with their own logbooks/placements...
