The inclusion or noninclusion of geocaching stats has a lot to do with
paranoia.  The stats only mean what you choose to have them mean.  If
they're meaningless to you, then just ignore them.  If they're meaningful,
then it's good they make you happy.  There's no award for having the most.
The stats don't imply that one person is better or worse than another.

And referring to private information...  By posting a note on the listserv
you're giving your email address for all to see.  Your email address is much
more private information than the fact that you visited the Silly Mountain
cache on November 26th.

And why are you even logging your finds on geocaching.com if you don't want
anyone to know?  Geez...
