Freedom Military Supplies<
http://www.freedommilitarysurplus.com/> on Main Street in Mesa. Ammo cans are expensive, $14.00 but better than plastic.
And there is a store<

Subject: [Az-Geocaching] Surplus stores in the Valley?
The wife wants to head to the zoo on Wednesday and take Johnny to see the Komodo Dragons exhibit that opens that day. I on the other hand would like to visit a Army-Navy Surplus store before coming home. With Larada's being no longer is there some others that members of the list can suggest?
I am looking for ammo cans of course and some 2 QT canteens and 1 QT canteens w/ cups. Trying to work up a little kit to have Johnny carry his water in and possibly cook in if we get stuck in the boonies.
Any and all suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks for the help,
--
