Buffelgrass and Fountain Grass has become an epidemic in Oro Valley as
well as the surrounding Tucson region. You are invited to attend, on
Friday, October 24 at 6:30 p.m., a Buffelgrass/Fountain Grass public
meeting that will be held in the Oro Valley Town Hall Council
Chambers.
This will be the Town's first major outreach meeting to the public.
This meeting is being held in an effort to educate residents and help
identify Buffelgrass and Fountain Grass, and to discuss the Town's
current preventive measures and what is being done in the surrounding
areas. There will also be discussion regarding the formation of a
"North West Weedwackers" Volunteer Group.
A North West Weedwackers group would schedule and participate in
"Pulls" to physically dig out Buffelgrass and Fountain Grass in washes
and road right of ways.
For those of you living in or near Oro Valley, here is your chance to
start attacking the buffel and fountain grass in your neighborhoods.
