Subject: Re: [Az-Geocaching] Az-Geocaching Digest, Vol 68, Issue 3
Having enjoyed past HungryFish events and having eaten at Someburros before, I know that I could easily spend $6 - $7 per person for a nice meal. I would be sitting at a square table under bright lights or be out on the patio, along side the parking lot, experiencing a very pleasant time chatting and sharing laughs, stories, and coins with other cachers.

For a few dollars more (the discounted offer made by Tamo for those who register within a given time frame) with free food included, I could likewise share geocaching camaraderie and adventure stories, along with Halloween thrills at the Halloween Radio Active Event; a unique, spectacular, and profoundly well planned event that provides a number of kids' activities targeted to their comprehension and interests.

At this time of year, as other Halloween venues are open and charging entrance fees for a Halloween spectacle, I don't see how the fee for Radio Active Event is unreasonable, considering the available food, care for children, and the additional connection to our geocaching sport.

Yes, it is a bit unfortunate that an event that relates to geocaching may not provide a "smiley" point after attending. As I have enjoyed numerous events and hold respect and appreciation for many cachers, even with their differing opinions, I realize that I am attracted to the world of geocaching for many more reasons than to achieve a single smiley face.

The point is to do what suits your own particular interests and not criticize something else that doesn't relate your individual needs at this time. Thus, on October 20th, if attending an event at Someburros, or going to a Halloween themed event, or having a party at home, or simply going out for a quiet cache run is your style, then do what makes you feel content.

Best wishes to all in the choices you make.

Shame on you cacher's out there that are crying.you can bye lunch for more and I bet you won't be telling everyone you know how great it was and that they should attend it next time.Tamo you and the group are great. I hope you will keep this going each year.I for one will be there. It is for the whole family something to do for all. I really enjoy catching up with fellow cacher's.

I was in Ohio last year and missing this was my biggest caching regret, and this year will be in Florida so will miss it again. Please send me an address and I will send you $20 to cover someone that feels the price is too high.
suggestion-
potluck meal only, bring own meat to cook on provided grills and bring your own plates and fork and spoon .
Enjoy the night - I will be wishing I was there!

Wow. This is my first post and all I can say is wow.

I agree that the geocaching subculture had been mostly free of in-fighting. Hope this blows over very quickly.

This event is THE event to attend in Arizona , if not the southwest. I only had $20 on me last year when I attended my first HR and I gladly turned this money over…fully acknowledging that it didn't cover the planning time involved, let alone food, materials and construction. Thank you to Tamo and the entire crew for their desire to host this event and all the time and expense it entails. And we hope it isn't the final HR.

Too bad this list preaches to the choir only.
