Mt. Humphreys might have some good areas, we will be camping/training up
there at about the 11000' level next month. The parking lots are close.
You could check with the Forest Service for more info. Mt. Ord would be
another option.

Just keep an ear on the weather forecast, we assisted with a rescue of a
Scout Troop doing a snow camping trip last March in Pinal County.

I want to go out winter camping with a small batch of scouts. We need a
good spot.

1) With snow if possible.
2) 2x4 accessible (clearance OK- just not 4x4)
3) Within a couple of hours from Phoenix.

Any good recommendations?

Thanks
