I use to use UTM almost exclusively with map work and also with my GPS. I
still use it often. I even used it for a little while in geocaching until I
finally started switching my GPS unit to gc.com's primary coordinates
(WGS84). I find UTM to be alot simpler to use (as with most metric systems
of measurement).
