We visited and dove Grand Cayman several years ago. (The say the really good
diving is at Little Cayman, but we had neither the time nor the cash to get
over there. The Grand Cayman wall is nothing to sneeze at, though.)
Having seen both the turtle farm and Stingray City, I must confess I'm more
concerned for the stingrays than I am for the turtles. The turtles are being
bred for food as well as for repopulation. It's a thrill to get up close to
the stingrays, but they are becoming domesticated, living off handouts
from the divers and snorkelers. Which species is more harmed in the long
run?
