The other thing to keep in mind is that reporters are not dumb. They know
they are rediculed for some of their stories. Going out of your way to be
"PC" around them isn't worth the trouble. Most of the bad stories are
because the reporter isn't as knowledgable about the topic as they people
they are writing about. Unless they are already a member of the group,
and know firsthand what everything is like, they are probably going to do
the best that they can from an outside perspective. And when you read
the article, be sure to keep an open mind. Sometimes, even if an article
is technically wrong on many points, it is still "good enough" to give the
casual reader a general overview and feeling... the details can always be
worked out after the reader joins in the fun. =-)
