Yes - I use EasyGps, and my .loc files download straight into the program. If you right-click on the .loc file you get the option to "open with..." and you can then choose which program opens the file. Choose one of the programs Brian mentioned (assuming you have already downloaded and installed them) and you'll also see an option to open that type file with that program all the time. Choose that option, and the next time you download a .loc it will ask if you want to save to disk, or open with (your application)

This assumes you use Windows, and the browser I'm referring to is Mozilla Firefox.

The best would be EasyGPS or EasyMPS if you use a Garmin and want to open the .loc directly into your MapSource program.

Thanks, TDP. I don't want to sound new but it is something I do very well.

What do I use to open a .LOC file?

    This should get you started:

The terrain out there will be outrageously gorgeous right now. If it doesn't rain more before your trip, you should be fine.

Can someone provide some guidance to help me compile a list of caches around Florence that would make a good family 4WD day trip? Since we have had a bit of moisture, would a trip up ther be advised this weekend?
