You might consider an REI store to see various models. However, once you decide on what model you want to buy, I would consider the suggestion for Walmart, if they have the one you want, or go on line. I have made purchases from various GPS sites, especially those linked to geocaching.com for both GPSs and accessories. For instance, GPSCity.com is a good one.
