Brian,

Do you know if it takes the same car power cable that the III+ takes?

I haven't, but I have used the 60C. The only difference between the two is
the CS has a magnetic compass and barometric altimeter. The latter is for
the most part, useless, but the magnetic compass is a pretty cool feature.
When I bought, I saw no need to spend $50 on that single feature, whereas a
traditional compass (even liquid-filled) would cost less. It also has a
battery life about 1/3 less than that of the 60C, or about 20 hours to the
30 of the C.

Either way you go, you'll be VERY happy with the purchase. The night-time
mode inverts the colors so the brighter image doesn't burn your night
vision. It's still plenty easy to see at night, and I loved having that
feature on my drives from Black Canyon City or Casa Grande back to Phoenix.
The several hours I was driving in darkness coming from Minneapolis last
week was another good experience. There are several different color
schemes
for both day/night modes, so it offers many ways to tailor it to your
needs.
