Subject: [Az-Geocaching] Explanation for Coyote1022/Gordon
Hi-
I can clear this up for you, Coyote1022/Gordon:
I suggested that some caches be archived on account of
their location (this was back in, like, January or
February of this year, I think). As I am/was new to
the area, it looked to my unlearned eye that the
caches in question were located within the Phoenix
Mountain Preserve. Within the day, I realized
(rather, had someone point out to me, and quite
rudely, I might add!) my error and I promptly removed
my "please archive" logs. For the error of having
suggested that a cache be moved (the horror!), I have
been made something of a persona non grata to the
geocaching folks. I guess they forgot that you can
catch more flies with sugar than sh*t. Anyway-- on
the basis of all this (i.e., an unfortunate mistake on
my part, followed more or less immediately by a
retraction), Gail [is it "Gail" or "Gale"?]
automatically discounts the well considered opinion I
offered to an open question.

So, dear lad- let this be a lesson to you: don't ever,
EVER suggest that a cache should be archived, or else
Gail and RandMan and Gay Aldrich will be displeased
with you. Now that I think of it, that's not really
much to be concerned about... I know it hasn't
changed my life or geocaching activity.
