The problem is that someone finally figured out how to make a profit off
of writing and spreading viruses.
The latest batch of viruses spread around... this is nothing new. They
open back doors into your system. also nothing new. The new part is
what the virus writers are doing with back doors... They are selling
access to SPAMers so they they can send out their stupid messages on
machines they are sure aren't going to be blocked.
The virus writers are even smart enough in making their viruses give
them a short lifetime, so after a few weeks the SPAMers will have to
come back for the latest edition of the back door so that they can
continue to do business.
What this means... there will probably be a HUGE flood of viruses
coming, if you think its bad now, wait a few months when a LOT more
people try to get in on the action.... you're gonna have viruses coming
at you like I have SPAM now...about 300-1000 a day.
