If you are a Costco member, the Kirtland (Costco house brand) batteries come in a 48 pack (12 4-packs) for $10 or $12. I have found them to be every bit as good as the "major" brands, and are undoubtedly made by one of the major companies. Since they only sell Kirtland and Duracell, Duracell would be my guess.
