What a tragedy!
Kevin and I adore Summerhaven! When we first moved to Tucson, we often
drove up the mountain for a picnic so he could escape the grad school
stress. I fell in love with one of the gift shops up there that I
never missed each trip up. Then we learned of the pies at the cafe!
Mmmmm!
When we moved to Phoenix, we made a point to return at least once a
year. We were just up there last month with my car club for a meet.
We had lunch at the cafe, and I was too full for pie...so I missed my
last chance at pie. And the group was in a hurry to get down the
mountain before sunset, so I didn't visit the gift shop...and boy am I
kicking myself now!
Sorry about the hormonal ramblings of a pregnant woman...I feel like
I've lost an old friend.
