Subject: [Az-Geocaching] Probable Moratorium on New Locationless Caches
There's a Groundspeak forum thread in which Jeremy is polling the
willingness of the readership to temporarily suspend the approval of new
locationless caches (http://tinyurl.com/5mra). The logic behind it is
that the approvers are becoming overloaded with trying to figure out if
the new locationless caches meet the (sometimes nebulous) guidelines.
When the new ".NET" version of the Web site is released in April or May,
locationless caches will be moved into their own category, much as
benchmarks are today.

If they do this, it will mean only that there will be no new
locationless caches approved until the new version of the Web site is
rolled out. Currently, 86% of the respondents (including me) favor the
moratorium. So if you were planning to author a locationless, don't be
surprised if it gets rejected for the time being.
