TONTO NATIONAL FOREST PASSES NOW AVAILABLE

New 2003 annual passes are now available for more than 40 recreation
sites in the Tonto National Forest. The passes will be sold at a
discount price since a printing contract problem prevented their
delivery at the beginning of the year.

The normal cost of a pass valid for seven days a week throughout the
year is $90. A weekday pass, valid Monday through Thursday, is normally
$60. Discounted prices will be $80 for the seven-day pass and $50 for
the weekday pass.

People with a 2002 ass will be allowed to use it through Feb. 16 to
allow time to purchase a 2003 pass.

The windshield-sticker pass exempts vehicles from the required daily
parking fees. Passes also cover additional parking fees for vehicles
with boats at launch sites on Saguaro, Canyon, Apache, Roosevelt,
Bartlett and Horseshoe lakes.

For more information, contact the Tonto National Forest Cave Creek
Ranger Station, 40202 N. Cave Creek, Rd., Scottsdale, (480) 595-3300.
