Rangers Write Tickets Over Weekend

(Arizona) -- Rangers in the Arizona national forests issued more than 140 tickets to people who ignored closure signs last weekend because of the extreme fire danger. Officials says the most disrespectful display occurred when a camper used a "No Fires" sign to start his barbecue. Sixty percent of Tonto National Forest is closed, with many more closures beginning today and tomorrow. Closing forests means enforcing the closures, and forest rangers are hard-pressed to do this due to under staffing.

We have a strict rule that the "roadrunners" can't log a find unless we are both there. Therefore, we always go caching together. There was only one exception when Jean went to S. Dakota to visit family and she hid a travel bug. We are more successful finding caches with two sets of eyes (and 2 GPS').
