I may be a bit of a stick in the mud here, but I think it is only fair that
someone logs a find if they actually found the cache, either individually or
as part of a team or expedition, or present in proximity if a group finds
it. (Like Snaptek on RR Rim). If you don't find it, logically, you can't log
a find. (duh)
If you are part of a group of friends that caches together, but sometimes
separately, the individual members can easily create a new ID and log their
own finds.
