We did a marathon cache hunt a month ago in that area. Actually, I didn't
have this cache on my program or in my GPS. We ran out of time, and didn't
get one cache out there (Highway 666). I get home, and see that I also
missed this cache. We wouldn't have had time to look for it that weekend
anyway, so we were going to return for the two caches I missed.
Personally, I like to know when caches are archived. Otherwise, I might try
to find them. This happened to me on the original Bouldercache. I went
searching for it with no luck, then get home and found out it was archived a
week before I searched. I've learned to try and insure I have current info
before I search, but sometimes I have an area planned out a few weeks in
advance and don't update my info before I leave.
I finally found the Rat's Nest 2 days after it was archived (didn't know it
was archived). The cache, log book, and some trinkets were still there
(might still be). I logged in the book and on the web site as a find, even
though it was archived (I did find it).

Larry, this was a nice place for a cache. If you ever head for that part of
the state, I recommend checking out this area.
Bob, I think this was discussed before, but I don't remember why it is
important to report archived caches. Could you refresh my memory?
Thanks
Jerry
