Well, I can see both sides. It's an interesting idea as a joke, but it may be not a good time or place to joke about anything related to the tragedy right now.

The lead page had a lat/lon listed for the area and BING...In the spirit of patriotism, why not make it an Event cache with a traveler ?
It was immediately archived...when I asked Jeremy why...he then deleted it...Later I was reading through the forums and found there was some contention to posting 11 Sept related caches...
