[Az-Geocaching] Saturday Dec 4th

Since I can't seem to get my uccinc account to play nice with the Exchange
server here (yet), I'll do my reply via webmail...

It's unclear what the terms of my confinement are exactly, but rumor has
it in a few short weeks, I'm being upgraded to my own private jail. Also,
due to the danger I present to the back roads of this land, armor is being
applied to Project J.E.E.P. in the form of 1/4" steel plate over the
rocker panels and underneath the body. Also, visiting hours will
hopefully be awarded in the Spring, but the parole board hasn't yet
returned with a definitive answer.

Now, this is either a sign of the quality of the print media here, or I’m
just a profoundly awesome writer :), but I received the Golden Pen Award
for that little tidbit of keyboarding wonder. It's funny. I've heard
that the English/Journalism classes at MSU-B absolutely rip apart the
articles in the local paper, and often praise the editorials as the best
pieces of writing in the paper...period. Most of the editorials I submit
are done on a whim, if a controversial topic ignites the pump of my
creative juices and they start flowing. I guess maybe the articles I've
written have been pretty good, as I've received numerous compliments (and
even quoted (with picture!) in a front-page Tribune article a few years
back), but I'm just speaking my mind. I haven't thought they were all
that special, but knew that at least a few people would end up irked by
what I said and the manner in which I said it. Fun times.
