[Az-Geocaching] Adventure Racing

Forgive me, I'm the last person who would ever SPAM
anyone. However, you may be surprised to know that
I've been seeking out and finding cache's in the
Phoenix area using a Map and Compass. I've also used a
GPS. It's much more challenging with a map and
compass, and I thought some of those folks who
understand maps and coordinates might actually be
interested in Adventure Racing.

Adventure Racing is a sport that to some looks
Extreme, though is really only extreme in that you
have the potential to get lost. For those who
understand how to plot UTM coordinates on a map and
find their way to them accurately, they've mastered
half the battle.

Obviously surprisingly, the $75 entry fee is low for
the sport. In addition to finding different
checkpoints with your map and compass, it also
requires riding a mountain bike, hiking, and paddlying
a Kayak. It's not for everyone, though I'd hoped some
Geocachers might be interested. Thanks

For thos of you who've placed cache's, thanks! It's
helped some of us improve on our navigational skills.
We TN/LN though have a blast seeking them.
