"The Washington Post is reporting that a late-model car, loaded with wireless surveillance gear, a remote kill switch and GPS, is being left (unlocked, presumably) on the streets of the Washington, D.C. metro area as 'bait' for car thieves. This article reports that they've just made their first bust with the vehicle."
I hope they bring "theif caching" to Arizona, since we have the highest car theft rate in the US.

There are farmers that are using GPSRs to spray fertalizers and pesticides on only exact locations of their fields that need it. Very cool... Less poision in my diet is always a good thing in my book.

On Tue, Feb 5th Team Snaptek sent out a message for Bob Renner that included everyone that was on the AZ-geocacheing mailing list with the exception of any address that Team "Wyle E" was subscribed with.

The message detailed a prank to be played on Team "Wyle E" involving the cache "West of the pecos" that would be placed.

I've put together a behind the scenes account of some of the people that were involved in the prank that is very funny at times and will give you a little more inforation about why and when certain logs and mailing list messages were sent and some talk about ideas that were never tried.

While roaming the net today I stopped by Team "Wyle E’s" webcam and managed to find a cache before it was placed. When Mr. E was asked how to log a find on his yet to be placed cache he replied with:
"!!!!! I’m busted !!!!
This was great Brian! I got a good laugh from it. Perhaps your record for finding a cache before it's even hidden should be logged on the snaptek web. :-)"
So I am writing this article to claim my find (grin).

I added a new feature to the individual team stats. If you go to team stats and pick your team from the list you will see the new features. They export the data customized to your individual team so you can plan and keep track of the caches more easily. Let me know what ya think, have fun!

Seems like are multi-team assaults on caches are working great previously Rim RR Depot and now the latest cache to fall victim to it Bronco Butte. Looks like it was a 3 Teams that beat this one... check out the log entries on the geocaching site. Bronco Butte
