HEY EVERYBODY!!!
We (meaning - ME) finally got our act together up here in the "high"
country (that doesn't mean anything) and we will be hosting another
PRESCOTT BEAT THE HEAT EVENT (#2) GC1RN1X
SATURDAY JUNE 13, 2009
10 am to 5pm
Your main hosts this year are Garyp47, Televiper and the Quad City
Cachers, thanks to all of them for organizing this event, with some
help from other cachers as well!
It's "only" been 5 years since the last one which (from all the
feedback) was an excellent adventure, and well attended. We had over
100 at the #1, July of 2004, let's see if we can beat that number this
year and have a great time doing so!
The cache page is up and it is GC1RN1X - Gee Cee ONE are enn ONE ex.
Please drop a note on the page if you want, and log it as a find only
after you attend the event. We will have a sign-in log book and this
must be signed by you for you to claim a find. You know, it's
geocaching, right?
We hope to have cachers from all over the state of Arizona and maybe
from other states drop by and join the fun. There will be food,
fellowship, story-telling, old-timers, mid-timers and new-timers and
even one of Lightning's notorious "Contests" which I believe -- didn't
Stringcacher win one last time? Raffles, trackables, did I mention
food? prizes for various stuff....lots of fun! Folks are encouraged to
bring pictures of family and caching adventures to share with other
cachers.
Could someone please volunteer to post this announcement on the
Northern AZ cacher's list (I think it is Yahoo group?) and the Nevada
Cacher's group as well, and any other way you can think of to get the
word out.
Hopefully a three week notice is enough in advance for a weekend - the
building facility has all the basic needs as indicated on the cache
page, kids are welcome and pets (dogs) have lots of outside space to
enjoy.
Hope to see many of you there on June 13!
~Lightning~
