I wanted to use it, but it's not supported on the iPhone yet...at least not as of this morning!

Hey all,

I don't know if you all are awar, but Google today let their "friends locater" out of the bag to the public. It's been in beta for quite some time and is actually quite cool and intuitive.

Get the info for the service and the app for your phone at Google Latitude.

Basically it allows you to see where your friends are that have the software (basically an updated version of Google Maps) installed on their Google "My location" capable, or GPS capable phone. I have it installed and am pretty impressed with it. For those security and privacy minded people, they set their privacy terms right on the page AND in the software and you can set the software to to show your location or not...You can even manually set your location on the map if you want to take a virtual vacation. :-) I may just put myself back in Tahiti in a little while. :-D

Anyways, if anyone is using it, add me as a friend using this email address: sonburnt at gmail.com
