[Az-Geocaching] Adopting a cache

I agree with the Steves on this one. Since you're more familiar with the cache location can you think of any reason why that cache placement might not be approved under the current guidelines? It may have been a "grandfathered" cache based on some small guideline that has changed.  If a grandfathered cache was archived I don't think they would allow it to be adopted and reactivated. 

Please keep us in the loop, I'm interested to know how this develops.

A) Caches are un-archived all the time, occasionally under just such a scenario.
B) You are talking to the wrong guy, you need to contact RadRunner, our approver.
C) If all else fails, put a new cache in the same spot. I know it's nice to keep the old history, so maybe you will have to call your cache 'A tribute to 'All Aboard' Gone'.
D) After reviewing the cache page, it appears there is something more to the story. Perhaps a local business owner has contacted Groundspeak about the cache?

This is odd for the Community relations folks to do this.
* Has someone in the cache area requested that the cache die?
* Is there a change in GC policy? (Older caches must die, whatever).
* Is he just a pain in the .... and wants to give you grief.
