Thanks!  I already have a full auto mount and may pick up an extra dashboard
mount.

If you off road in the jeep you most likely will be in a dusty area. As
such, your suction will most likely fail as ours did. :)

If your using the jeep as a mall crawler, the suction holder will do just
swimmingly.

The dashboard mount would be more advised:

 We modified a cup holder for our dash mount. Basically the suction cup one
we had worked for about 10-30 minutes once we got into any location that
actually required off road capabilities of the jeep.
