[Az-Geocaching] Garmin 60CSX

That's my thing too. I carry what would amount to a full week's worth of
usage at 24-hours/day, so battery life isn't all that big of a deal to me
either. It's just a caveat to consider is all.

I have a 60CSx and I love it. You an turn the electronic compass on and
off,
so the battery issue shouldn't be as significant. I just carry lots of NiMH

batteries with me, so it doesn't matter much.... The 60CSx is a very big
improvement over my old Legend in a lot of ways - higher precision, larger
memory size for maps, a color screen that is much more readable than the old

Legend, USB connectivity to your computer, and many other new features. I
can't compare it to an Explorist 600, since I've never used one of them.
The 60C series also has some geocaching specific functionality. I think
there's also still a $50 rebate active on it, though I might be wrong - I
don't remember when it expires, but I was thinking the end of the year. I
got mine back in August.

Jim.
