The subject says it all... I am OFFICIALLY done with Travel bugs. They are a
pain in the you know what!... and you do know what, dont you?! If you dont,
well I do.. ask me sometime! :)
Anyways, I picked up 3 travel bugs from the Tucson Travel Bug mansion. I
dropped 3 off into it. First off, the geocaching.com site is incredibly slow
this morning.. which is typical for a Sunday for some reason. After logging
some in.. and after over an hour of dealing with the slow site... I finally
completed a few of the 6 TB transaction. But, some of the bugs are still
showing up in my inventory although they also show up in a cache now. So I
tried again and again. Finally, it seemed to work and now I have multiple
logs for the same TB. Although, do to the slow gc.com site.... I am still
not able to complete a couple of TB movements.
So anyways.... 3 of those TB's I put into the campout event cache.... if
anyone picks up one of these TB's or any of the TB's I still have not
completed transactions with... please be patient and wait for me to complete
the movement of the TB before 'taking it from me' or from the cache,
whatever. These 6 TB's here are:
Tizzy the Fish
ATVx3
Golden Spike
Billiard ball #13
Billiard ball #1
Tee It Up
ATVx3, Tizzy the Fish and Tee it Up are supposed to be dropped into the
Tucson TB Mansion. The other 3 are supposed to end up in the campout event
cache. I will try later on today to complete the transactions. But I am not
going to bother with geocaching.com right now as it is SO slow. So maybe
later on today.. it will be working fine again and I will be able to finish
this.
These TB's are such a PITA. I have had issues in the past were someone
'grabbed it' from me before I could properly log it into or out of a
cache... since we dont all have a computer at our side 24/7, it isnt always
possible to log finds and TB's for a few hours or even a day or two if on
vacation. Then, I go to log the TB and find out it isnt in my possession..
even though it was... because someone 'grabbed it' from me. Then you have to
'steal' it back from them (which I think is incredibly rude) and show my
movement of the bug. Then, they have to realize it was taken from them for
them to properly complete the movement again.
Anyways, I dont normally take TB's regularly anymore... but happened to do
the Tucson TB Mansion cache yesterday and I still had 3 bugs in my
possession... so dropped them off and figured I would take 3 of them to the
event cache. Big mistake. Anyways, whats worse.. the TB owner of the 3 TB's
I took to the event cache, didnt want them placed in event caches! Oops. Oh
well. Whats done is done... and I am officially thru with dealing with
TB's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
