[Az-Geocaching] A bit of history - question

Seems like you guys are inventing a new field of research - geocache 
archeology.  I'm sure there's thousands of interesting stories about caches 
and how they've met their demise and how perhaps some of them are still out 
there despite being pillaged or burned in a fire or whatever caused their 
archival.  I know when one of my caches are lost, there is only a certain 
amount of hunting around that one can do to be sure it isn't still in the 
area someplace - maybe tossed into a tree across the wash or moved somewhat 
from the original hiding spot so that the owner can't even find it (that 
happened to one of my micros - it moved a good 50 feet and I almost gave up 
on it before seeing it off in the distance!) or whatever.
