[Az-Geocaching] Arizona Geocoin and AZ GC History

I LOVE the design of the AZ coin! and just ordered 2 (one each)

For those interested in AZ Geocaching History, I just discovered
something cool.

I was cleaning up some old log books and was reading the log from my
long-archived "HIGHLAND VIEW CACHE" (GC1291) placed on July 25,
2001...about 24 days after I started caching. The FTF was none other than
"WYLE E" - Larry, Connie, Leslie, Cindy and even Gidget, and IT WAS THEIR
FIRST - First to Find! Found on 7-28-01. And in keeping with the
afore-mentioned FTF "battles" and YJ's, the next team to find the cache,
on 7-29-01 was TEAM TJ: Yellow Jeep, dog, Flegs. They signed the log but
are not logged in online. This cache lasted almost 2 years and was
archived 4/19/03 due to much logging in the area.

Reading the logs, so many "old timer" familar names! I keep all my old
log books for this reason.

Wow, does this bring back memories for anyone? Or at least memories of
stories that you have heard from - ahem- we old folks?

We are proud to finally present the pre-orders for the Arizona Geocoin.
The coin order has gone to the mint and we are opening the orders to
Arizona cachers first. Once we get the orders from you, we will forward
them to The Caching Place so that Arizona orders have priority. Once
they get the order, they will send you a bill through paypal.

To start out, we are limiting the orders of the Limited Edition (Silver)
coins to two per household. After 72 hours (three days), we will
re-evaluate this situation.

Please feel free to order as many of the Copper edition as you like.
Personally, we'd like to see as many coins as possible go to Arizona
cachers before opening it up to the general caching public.

Please use the following link.Place your orders via the link below.
