Here is the command I use in a batch file to convert the GPX files to work with Cachemate. Don't remember what all the extra options do but I end up with a very useful output

cmconvert -B -C -d -L -o CM-ALL.pdb -O -N 3 -s -S -t ROCK.gpx,MORL.gpx,LANS.gpx,KZOO.gpx

Ok I have done these 3 things except I am currently only using the trial version of cachemate. I just wanted to try it before I buy it...According to the program I can download 10 geocaches. I have run a pocket query so I get 5. Installed the cahcemate on my PDA and attempted several times to "hotsync" the file that I received on my email for the pocket query for the PDA.
It is not going into my PDA, or I am not seeing it. Any ideas?

    Sure, here goes...
    1. Premium membership to GC.com, so you can get PQs (Pocket Queries). $30/year or $3/month.
    2. A copy of GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife) to manipulate the PQs on your PC, and upload waypoints to your GPS & cache descriptions to your PDA. $30 I believe, with lifetime updates N/C!
    3. A copy of Cachemate for the PDA, to view cache descriptions. $10-15, also lifetime updates free.
There are several programs that are freeware that will, when used together, do most of what GSAK does. It's a cumbersome process at best, but if you're short on $$ will work.
    My 2¢.

Most the high end ones do. But for what I am using it for the 14 mb that is
in my Zire 31 will hold over 3400 cache pages and still have plenty left
    over.
