It's not that he's an anti-Magellan zealot, just a zealot in general. :) He'll rail anyone he has the opportunity that made the unfortunate decision to sink numerous dead presidents into an inferior model.

  $350 from tiger gps.....
And I REALLY like it... A LOT! It, as well as yours, has been taking me to within 1-3 feet of the locations (that of course all depends on the person entering the original coords)....

Anyway, i was just harassing Apryl.... i have nothing against Garmin (as I see you do Magellan), i am sure they make great GPS's. I am new at this (1yr) so I certainly don't claim to be an expert, but I do like the look and feel of the Magellan over the Garmin.

I also check out your Garmin link.... From what I can tell the 2 a VERY comparable.... Other than the built in games on the Garmin, mine has all the same stuff.

.. and you payed how much for that thing???? If that is the best Magellan
has to offer so far... they have a long ways to go to even come close to
Garmin. I know a cacher who is/was very much a Magellan fan that told me he
was waiting for the 600 to come out.. but then had second thoughts when he
found out that this latest and greatest from Magellan couldnt come close to
comparing to the 60C/CS. He also realized he was getting alot more for his
money with the Garmin and he also has been on many geocache trips with me
and was amazed at how often my GPS would read 2 or 3 feet or less at a cache
    site.

I noticed this in their selling points on the Magellan website:
    >>No service fees
    >>Your eXplorist 600 is ready to go with no service fees and no activation
    >>fees, so go ahead, use it >>all the time.

Really? Do you pay service fees with other Magellan models? :)
